World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims
20 November, 2022 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm NZDT
This event is an opportunity for families affected by road crashes, support organisations, emergency services and members of the community to come together to remember those killed and injured on our roads, to learn about and access support if needed, and to thank professionals who work to save lives. The event is part of the World Day of Remembrance, coordinated by FEVR.
It will be made up of speeches and readings of poems, an opportunity for families to create a small remembrance token to take away, and an opportunity to meet with other bereaved families, support organisations and emergency services professionals. There will be a gazebo for shelter in case it rains. We also hope to switch on the lights on the Norfolk Pine tree which is lit every summer from the World Day of Remembrance until after New Year.
