Orewa Beach Sandsculpture

The 12th annual Sandcastle competition and sand sculpture begins this week.
15 tonnes of sand – thanks to Wyatt Landscapes will be delivered to Moana Reserve on Tuesday 25th February and the 5 day long sculpting of the mammoth masterpiece will commence that afternoon.
Visit Ashley and Annette from In Good Form over the week and watch them work them magic.
The Sandcastle competition is on Sunday 2 March (30 entries only)
Registration from 1pm
Competition begins at 1.30pm
Judging at 3.30pm
Prize giving at 3.45pm

It’s FREE to enter and its open to everyone from bucket and spade novices, through to experienced sculptors. Or just come along for a look to see the creations morphing into works of art.
There’s cash prizes for the experienced team and novice team.
